How about this cute little window made with stained glass beads and tiny clay leafs? I love to work with beads and marbles. Over the last 20 years, I have created many art pieces with beads and developed my own method to securely attach them to the glass.

I like to take a lot of photos during each season, collecting images of apple trees that will inspire my next projects.

I found this small frame at a local yard sale. The glass was intact and the frame was painted black, but I was able to remove the paint and restore it to the original wood. After sanding it down, I rubbed in the Linseed Oil. This is not just to show off the wood grain, but also to protect it for years to come. The frame was then completed by adding the magnificent copper knob.

Once the frame was finished, I began the process of outlining and layering the shape of the apple tree. Each layer, depending on the thickness, will take 24 to 48 hours to cure. The more layers, the longer it takes to cure. In the end the tree trunk will look 3D.

While waiting for the paint to set,  I select my glass beads and check them carefully for any cracks or imperfection. The beads get washed and shined and are handled carefully to avoid dust or finger prints.

Making the tiny leaves one at a time can be a little tedious, but is so worth the effort. Each leaf is hand made and has layers of metallic and protection paint, which ensures the colour will never fade. Upon request, I can gold or silver-plate the leafs.

When all of the pieces are finished and cured, I apply my special goop that binds the apples and leaves to the glass. The "goop" (as I call it), is super thick and never fades or yellows, so your window painting will always look great.

Each work of art is unique and can be individualized in many different ways. This window, for example, was made  for a very special and sweet lady named Nancy. I had a lot of fun while making the miniature apple crate and filling it with "Sweet Nancy Apples"
